A real leader! The year 2007 set new records in terms of increase in sales. Compared to 2006, the sale of AutoMapa licenses increased by almost 160 %. It should be stressed that this dramatic increase was observed even before the launch of the break-through version 4.5, which features the visualizations of buildings in 34 Polish cities and towns. Moreover, the sales just two months after the premiere jumped by almost 60 %, and the number of completed updates more than doubled in comparison to the previous version. "According to our estimates, the Polish satellite navigation market is significantly bigger than the data presented in the various media reports. If the sales of PND and PDA devices will increase with the same speed as in the previous year, their number may exceed 600,000. AutoMapa's share of navigation system sales amounted to almost 26% in 2007. We can now proudly announce that AutoMapa is the first system to exceed 200,000 registered users!" boasts Jędrzej Szynkarczuk, AutoMapa Marketing Director. Miplo.pl, a community portal created by and for AutoMapa users also sees steady growth. Each day, on average, more than 400 new points of interest (POI) are added, and the total number of POIs available for AutoMapa users has exceeded 220,000. According to data published in the middle of last year by the Business Software Aliance, the respect for intellectual property in Poland has been steadily growing. However, still more than half of all computer software in Poland is replicated illegally . "We are happy that despite the scale of piracy existing in Poland, over 200,000 persons decided to purchase and legally operate AutoMapa. Our clients highly prize the frequency of updates to both content and software, the most accurate data available on the market or an up-to-date list of POIs, including a map of photo radars which is updated every day or information on potholes.
