Sponsored by AutoMapa, satellite navigation system, Hołowczyc, to deafening applause of several dozen thousand fans gathered along the length of the race, hundredths of seconds ahead of Tomasz Kuchar with co-driver Sebastian Frycz. "We are ecstatic about the win in the legendary Karowa stage. I drove as fast as I could, but the final places were decided by luck. Tomek was slower by only 6 hundredths of a second! I can't remember when was the last time the competitors were as well-matched as today. We were very impressed by fans' ovation at the Karowa Street. Their enthusiasm always increases my thirst for racing," said Krzysztof Hołowczyc The idolized 'Hołek' completed the Karowa stage twice outside the competition, driving a fan who won the competition organized by PKN ORLEN, and later, the winner of MotoOrchestra auction with a bid of PLN 10,000 (to be paid to the account of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity). Both lucky men were very impressed by Krzysztof's skill and the performance of his rally car.
